Jesus: Jesus said, “If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in His glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death till they see the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:26-27.
Jesus: Jesus said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them… and teaching them to obey all I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19-20.
Me: If I don’t point out now (with no shame) the way to heaven through Jesus I feel I would be just as guilty as those who never looked for Him or asked for Him. When I’m silent in the moment that I’m given opportunity I’m guilty myself of causing some to perish just like some are guilty of perishing from not looking and receiving.
Jesus: Jesus said, “…for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.” Luke 6:45, and “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I would that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither cold or hot, I will spit you out of My mouth.” Revelation 3:15-16.
Webster’s Dictionary: Blasphemy- to speak irreverently of God; to desecrate by impious (not revering) talk; to take God’s name in vain; to curse or swear; irreverence in speaking of sacred matters.
Peloubet’s Bible Dictionary: Blasphemy- It is plainly such a state of willful, determined opposition to God and the Holy Spirit that no efforts will avail to lead to repentance.
Jesus: “Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin.” Mark 3:28-29.
The Lord: The Lord, speaking to Paul, “Don’t be afraid, keep on speaking, do not be silent.” Acts18:9.
Paul urges: “Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, that it may give grace to those who hear.” Ephesians 4:29.
Even Jesus: Was accused of blasphemy for telling the TRUTH. Matthew 26:65.
What are YOU guilty of? Words or unspoken Words?
