Got collisions in your life or in someone’s life around you? Got new barriers that just won’t go away? Maybe you’ve got the “humdrums” of life, that everyday seems to be the same? Or feel like you’re alone in this world? Turn it to Jesus! Jesus had collisions. He had barriers that pursued him everywhere He went, the Pharisees, Scribes, friends and family who doubted what He was saying and who He was. I imagine He had the “humdrums” dealing with the same weak followers, like us, everyday, Matthew 8:26 and Matthew 17:20.
Jesus knew He was not alone and He knew we weren’t either. In John 17:20-23, Jesus explains this, “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one-I in them and you in me-so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”
How can we feel alone and defeated in our collisions and barriers after hearing Jesus Christ say this?
